Kent Mass Spec provide a mass spectrometry service for organic and organo-metallic synthesis. The following ionization modes are available by direct insertion probe using a Micromass mass spectrometer:
Electron Impact (EI)
Chemical Ionization (CI) using reagent gases, methane or ammonia.
Fast Atom Bombardment (FAB)
If your lab does not have access to mass spectrometry facilities or if your own service is down or overloaded, we can run your samples by EI,CI or FAB. The spectra are then e-mailed as a MS Word (TM) file attachment back over the Internet to your computer. You can then edit and incorporate this into a thesis or publication.
