Kent Mass Spectrometry has been offering a molecular weight confirmation service since 1997. This was originally for chemical custom synthesis companies but we have also been acting as a back up or alternative service to universities and medical research institutes in the UK and Europe.
We now feel there is scope to expand further internationally so synthetic organic chemists who do not have access to mass spectrometry facilities are able to get confirmation of molecular weight quickly and easily by using the Internet. We are registered with UNESCO so developing countries are able to pay for MS analysis in their own currency by using coupons.

Kent Electronics have mainly been in the mass spectrometer business of servicing and carrying out electronic upgrades. This originally started from renewing the console of the valve and mechanical chopper driven sector instrument, the AEI MS9. We have also installed refurbished VG and Kratos sector mass spectrometers in the UK, Europe, South Africa and the Eastern Bloc since the early 1980s.
We now concentrate on providing electron multipliers, hardware and software upgrades for HP, Finnigan and other GC/LC/MS systems in the UK, South Africa and Europe.
